Originally the House of Harlow brand from Nichole Richie was supposed to be just 60's inspired jewelry, and it has since expanded to include women's shoes. The contemporary line is called Winter Kate. The shoes are set to be released in the spring of 2010 and will feature “strong embellishments and tribal details, reminiscent of House of Harlow 1960 jewelry.” I seriously don't get her obsession with 1960's style. It was bad enough then, why try to reinvent it?
The first look at these two designs leaves me a bit unimpressed. The cut out ankle bootie has strong tribal details, but without the interesting colors that come with the theme. I for one am SO over black and white shoes. The pumps are also pretty boring. I do like the color contrast and the oversized stitching detail, but that's not enough to make me want to buy these things regardless of the price.
