After seeing the Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2010 shoe collection, I didn't have really high hopes for the Louis Vuitton collection that he designs, but this is ridiculous. Alpaca fur tassels that drag the ground!? Can you imagine how filthy they will look if you actually wore them outside, not to mention tripping over them. And the tassel details at the heel...it doesn't make sense and it's ugly. I can only think that Marc Jacobs meant to create the most ridiculous and unflattering shoes possible, a la Maison Martin Margiela, because he is capable of immensely beautiful and chic designs.
Moving on to the heel. It looks like a stump. Even the corkscrew ones that have a bit of imagination are plain ugly and unflattering.
Marc also thought that fur lined boots were acceptable for a spring/summer collection. Mmmk.
When I think of designer shoes, this isn't what comes to mind. This entire collection is beyond a disaster, it's a joke.
