Alexander Wang described this collection as "timeless and classic", but I would beg to differ. The shoes are nice, and I especially like the open toe boots pictured above, but the turned down boot is a current trend. Wang said “Our girl wants investment pieces.” Well if you consider sweatshirts, cut shorts and cut-out knee high socks as investment pieces, then this collection is for you.
The shoes are more appropriate for a fall/winter collection, with ankle boots and fur covered wedges, but this seems to be a theme for many spring '10 shoes. I think this collection is lacking, especially compared to his previous collections.
