More of the Yves Saint Laurent Cage Shoes have hit the stores, and I'm pretty much indifferent about it. The shoes are definitely different, but not necessarily fabulous. The look is futuristic and edgy, but a bit too cold and angular for my taste. I get that it's an architectural design, I just don't really like it. Both of these shoes have a 4.5 inch heel. This was my favorite look from the 2008 Emmys.It's Lisa Edelstein from ‘House’ and she wore the same YSL Tribute Two platform pumps that Jennifer Lopez wore to Fashion Week. I really like this look, because the simple black pump looks gorgeous with this dress. I love that she choose this pump instead of a strappy sandal. The pump looks sexy in the office, as well as on the red carpet.

I usually like, no love, Yves Saint Laurent, but these, not so much. That platform looks like the bottom of a military boot, hence the name Trooper Pumps. Although, unlike a military boot you can walk in, the 4 and 1/2 inch heel on this shoe is better for sitting. The platform is so thick (1 and 1/4 inch), it's almost comical. The platform soles are rubber, which I can't stand. Rubber soles stick to the floor, they squeak and they leave marks on wooden floors. These shoes are absolutely ridiculous. Love, love this shoe! Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2008. It's a little wild, but I think it would look perfect with skinny jeans and a slinky black top. This shoe is the outfit ($995).
