I have been patiently waiting for these shoes to be available for months. They were part of the fall 2009 ad campaign at Net a Porter, but never came available for sale. Now they are. These ankle boots are Thakoon, and they are silver patent leather in mosaic detail with square cut outs throughout. They have a front and back zipper. They have a 4.5 inch heel. Pair with a LBD for a super chic look. $1,195 at Net a Porter.

Thakoon Panichgul hit the mark with his spring 2010 Giuseppe Zanotti collaboration. Couture designers often turn to the fabulous Guiseppe Zanotti to create the shoes that compliment their designs. Balmain did it this fall '09, and now Thakoon for spring '10. GZ is one of my all time favorite shoe designers, for both his attention to detail and incredible style. This collection is fabulous! I love how he updated the popular 'cut out' vamp with sliced strips of leather for a more subtle exposure of the foot. Of course, he still had some cut out sandals, and they were beautifully enhanced with various materials from silk to rice paper.

Another big hit for a Guiseppe Zanotti collaboration.

I really like the shoes debuted in the Thakoon Fall 2009 Fall Shoe Collection. The mirrored look is always nice for the holidays (close to when these shoes will hit the stores), reminding me of a Christmas tree ornament. The shoes with the actual mirror pieces are fabulous. I love how they are pieced on the shoe to look like a broken mirror, as well as providing the shoe with rich texture.
