I have no words...but if Marc Jacobs pulls this sort of crap for the Louis Vuitton collection, I'm going to be pissed.

If you, like myself, were looking forward the the Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 Shoe Collection, you're probably going to be extremely disappointed. Not only is every single shoe a flat, but they're ugly. Hideous, in fact. Very much unlike the Marc Jacobs I know and love.

The silver shoe that appears to have little wings is somewhat interesting, but the wing look doesn't work on the slipper like flat. The burgundy suede sandal is ok, nothing more, and the shoe that he did the most, the triangle piece material covering the big toe,  looks like it came strait from a Chinese flea market. To top off the horrible designs, the colors were boring. These shoes are for spring!!!!

I absolutely LOVE these Marc Jacobs shoes. They are obviously statement shoes and very unusual, but they scream couture. Marc Jacobs signature for the fall/winter 2009/2010 collection is the Holland wooden shoe shape, with the raised, pointy toe. That, along with the flared, wide leg opening give this structured boot a more formal feel. The silver bubble detail on the heel is the perfect and unexpected finishing touch for this amazing shoe. They have a 4.5 inch heel and a 1 inch platform. $899 at Zappos.

Saks has just released some new Fall 2009 shoes and the following are my favorites. Available at Saks.

This is the Dior suede and python ankle boot. I really like the texture throughout the entire shoe, even the heel. When the shoe is on the foot, the cut outs between the suede straps are more apparent. It has a 4.25 inch heel and a 1 inch platform. $1,090.

This shoe truly warms my heart. First, because it's a gorgeous paillette shoe, and I love paillettes (sequins). Second, because it's Gucci. My old, favorite label. It's in no way near my favorite label now. When Tom Ford left, the label went quickly downhill in my opinion. Anyway, this shoe is reminiscent of the good old days of fabulous Gucci designs.

It's the Gucci Sofia Paillettes Ankle Boots and it has a 4 inch heel. The only thing that could improve this shoe is if the heel was also covered in paillettes. $1,190.

This Marc Jacobs boot has such a distinct and unique look! It's fashioned after the Holland wooden shoe, and it is totally fresh and new in designer shoes. It's not necessarily beautiful, but it does have a quirky style that I love.  These boots are slip on (it has a 8 inch leg circumference), and the ankle strap functions to keep the shoe from slipping off when you walk. When you are standing in these shoes, you can look into the shoe and see the top of your foot. You gotta see these shoes in person to really appreciate the amazing design.

I love these Marc Jacobs shoes, both for their comfy woven leather and the raffia color combination. The self tie leather tassel is a signature of his spring and summer collections, seen in his handbag collections and clothing designs. I love how he ties all of his collections together with a signature embellishment. It makes his designs recognizable without throwing a label over everything. These sandals have a 4.5 inch stiletto heel. Available at Net a Porter, $645.

How. Adorable. Are. These. Shoes. I absolutely love 'em. They are the Marc Jacobs Lace up shoe with heart heel. Obviously the heel is what I love the most, but the black suede with the gold piping is fantastic, and then the gold tassels complete the overall fabulous shoe. They have a 4 inch heel. Only drawback...they are only available in the UK. Order them online at Browns, $540 - but you may have to pay an import tax as well.

Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 Collection came strait from the Holland wooden shoe.  This is a pretty good idea, because these shoes will be instantly recognizable as Marc Jacobs with their unique shape, thus instantly recognizable as a status symbol. Just like the Gucci GG fabric handbags and the Louis Vuitton LV monogram canvas handbags are so incredibly popular because they are easily recognizable as a status symbol. While this collection isn't especially beautiful or flattering, they are absolutely unique, which may be just the thing that puts his designs ahead in tough economic times.
