I know Jimmy Choo is a great in the world of designer shoes, but to me his shoes can be a bit ho-hum. The spring and summer 2010 collection is an example. The shoes are nice, but not that great. The above snakeskin sandal would be pretty, but the wooden platform and thick heel dress it down, making them more appropriate for jeans and a T, and totally ruling out a LBD. Yes, I know we need great shoes to wear with jeans, but at Jimmy Choo's price points, they need to be a bit more versatile. I do like the Quito sandal (last pic), but Steve Madden has the exact design.

Have any of you ever been to Bluefly.com? They sell designer and luxury goods at marked down prices and often have products that are selling at regular prices at other stores. I shop there alot and that's how I stumbled upon these lovely Jimmy Choos. They are from his Fall 2009 collection and are part of the current ad campaign. They are black leather and have a 4.5 inch heels. They are 20% off for $876 at Bluefly!

Jimmy Choo is at the height of the designer shoe empire since his latest collaboration with empire H&M. It propelled him into the closets of younger and more frugal hipsters, but his signature line for Fall and Winter 2009 will ensure the more well heeled continue to dish out the bigger bucks.

On November 14 2009, the Jimmy Choo for H & M shoes, bags and clothing will be available for sale. I have mixed feelings about the shoes. I like some of them, and priced around $125 to $200 they are affordable, not to mention Jimmy Choos, however some of the designs are pretty boring. I wish he would have brought something edgier and more creative to the collection. I do like the blue cut out sandals above and I think they will surely be a quick sell out. More of this type of eye catching bold design would be in demand for the younger women who shop H & M, but I think the collection will be a huge success regardless. 

FINALLY! Net a Porter has gotten their Fall shoe collections in, however, they aren't up on the site yet for sale. I'm assuming they are working on it considering most other on-line stores have theirs out. Based on this preview, they are getting some fabulous shoes. The blck, flame looking, cut out shoe is Guiseppe Zanotti, and it retails for about $1,500 plus. The zippered boot, as we already covered, is Balmain, and about $2,382. the fishnet looking shoe with the cut out front is Jimmy Choo, and about $1,550. I guess these designers are counting on the recession ending pretty soon.

First it was Christian Siriano for Payless and now it's Jimmy Choo for H & M, creating fabulous designer shoes at reasonable prices! SO excited. Previously they have collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson, Roberto Cavalli, Viktor & Rolf, and now for their shoes they have secured perhaps the most exciting collaboration of them all with Choo. In the world of designer shoes (as many of you know) Jimmy Choos are among the finest. He will be creating a line of fabulous shoes and handbags for H&M, as well as a line of women’s clothing that will be designed to match the accessories.

Jimmy Choo shoes usually sell for about $600 and up into the thousands, while the bags start out at around $1,000 and go way up. Obviously the H & M collection will be more affordable, but we will have to wait until November 14, 2009 to know the prices, as that is the date they will hit the more than 200 worldwide stores. I have a feeling fashionistas will be lining up around blocks waiting for the release.

These Jimmy Choo shoes are so very cool. I like the shimmery, pixelated flowery print leather, but it's the fabulous Mondrian heel that makes these shoes. Even more interesting is the thumb tack encapsulated within the heel. It provides an unexpected and unusual detail that makes the rear view the focal point of the shoe. This shoe has a 4.5 inch heel. Available at JimmyChoo.com, $895.
