These Azzedine Alaia shoes are very cool, but also very distinct statement accessories. When you walk in a room with these shoes on your feet, you will be instantly recognized as a high fashionista. You will also be heard, because these shoes have six straps with dozens of little bells on them. They are brown python snakeskin with bells on the ankle straps as well as across the toes. Seriously, these Azzedine Alaia Pony skin platform shoes are hideous. I cannot imagine a single scenario where these shoes would work. It's not only that the spotty pony skin is ugly, but the bulky wedge is unflattering and the cut out is awkward. Maybe if the wedge was a different color from the busy spotted vamp, these shoes wouldn't be so bad, but as is, yuck! They aren't sold here in the states, just in Europe. Maybe it would take a European to appreciate these shoes. Available at Browns, $679.
