Alexander Wang is quickly making a name for himself in the world of luxury accessories. Last season his handbags were seen on the arms of many Hollywood elite such as Rhianna and Jen Aniston. From the looks of the Alexander Wang shoes for Spring/Summer 2010 shoe collection, his fan base will grow farther and faster. The above Freja boots are both incredibly cool and chic. Alexander Wang described this collection as "timeless and classic", but I would beg to differ. The shoes are nice, and I especially like the open toe boots pictured above, but the turned down boot is a current trend. Wang said “Our girl wants investment pieces.” Well if you consider sweatshirts, cut shorts and cut-out knee high socks as investment pieces, then this collection is for you.

The shoes are more appropriate for a fall/winter collection, with ankle boots and fur covered wedges, but this seems to be a theme for many spring '10 shoes. I think this collection is lacking, especially compared to his previous collections.

I don't like any of these shoes from the Alexander Wang Fall 2009 Shoe Collection. They look like construction boots, and even the ones with the heels look androgynous. As a woman, I want a pretty, flattering shoe, more like the ones below, also from this collection, but far better in my opinion.

I love the unique heels on these shoes, as well as the full vamp. They are a interesting cross between a pump and a bootie.
