Alexander McQueen is a master at designing unique and stylish shoes (and handbags), which is why he is among my favorite designers. These Nappa Wood slingbacks are quite different and eye catching, while remaining an accessory almost anyone could pull off. They are wood tone leather with a wood tone stiletto heel. The heel height measures 4.5 inches, but the .75 inch platform will make the shoe feel like a 3.75 inch heel. I'm trying to find another image of this fabulous shoe, so you can see it from all angles. It is the Moschino Velvet Ankle Boot and Metallic Sandals and it's part boot and part sandal. The side that you can't see is a solid black velvet wedge ankle boot and the other half, shown, is metallic sandal. I love it! The Elizabeth and James Fall 2009 shoe collection is surprisingly decent. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are the designers behind this label, and celebrity luxury brands are usually a flop (think P Diddy, or whatever he calls himself now, and J Lo), but I think this brand may survive. Here are a few shoes from their Fall 2009 collection.

These are simple wedge sandals that expose the top of the foot for a modern chic style. $325

These shoes have a great worn look that would compliment jeans. They have a hidden platform, the most noticeable trend for the upcoming season, and a wide leg opening for slip on wear. Similar to some of Marc Jacobs designs for fall '09, the wide leg opening allows you to see the top of the foot when you're wearing them. The look is unique and pretty cool. $465 

I don't like this shoe at all, but it's totally not my style. It's a flat and it's an oxford - yuck. $335

I love this shoe and could totally see myself buying them. I like the unique cut out side and the uniform color and material give the shoe a futuristic style. $375

I ask, who among us is fabulous enough to pull these off?  Not me, sadly. What would you wear with these work of art Guiseppe Zanotti boots (Guiseppe Zanotti and Balmain are the leading boot designer for fall 2009, in my opinion)? A dress...too slutty. Jeans...too casual. Nothing...call your wealthy honey. So what if they go with practically nothing, I love them. They are limited edition Guiseppe Zanotti thigh high black suede boots with asymmetrical mirrors at the top and a hot pink leather sole. Love it! They have a 4.75 inch heel and a .75 inch platform. I'm absolutely loving these Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. This shoe is an expression of extreme opposites in design. The outer side is solid black leather with the entire foot, from the open toes to above the ankle, completely covered, and the inner side of the foot is totally exposed. The wedge heel is 4.5 inches. This one is a must have for me. $595 at Saks.

You can only look seriously hot in these Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.  This is one of his best and most unique designs as of late and will definitely be a status shoe of the season!

The heel measures approximately 4.25 inches and the whole shoes are covered in satin and black Swarovki Crystals. The sandals also have wide cut-out straps with pointed and triangle shape edges that resemble a flame. If you haven't already noticed, I have a bit of a problem with the fact that the US gets slim pickings when it comes to designer shoes. Don't get me wrong, I love the perfection of Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo and Guiseppe Zanotti shoes but sometimes you just want to throw caution to the wind and put your own signature to your style with wonderfully non conforming, exorbitant and lavish styles. Some of my favorite (and yours) shoes on this blog come from shoes that only sell overseas, like this Bally shoe.

This is the Bally Peep Toe Leather Strap Sandals and they are suede with leather straps. They have an open toe cut out, as well as a cut out above the toes. Most fabulous however is the tapered gold heel with intricate cut-outs.
